Pekilog is a...
Server-side logging/command feedback improvement mod.
What a Peaky Logger! :D
It both does this through command feedback, as well as through a print to the console log.
THIS MOD IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS, SOMETHING MAY OCCASIONALLY BREAK OR IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
As per 23/12/2024 I have decided to discontinue this mod as I'm not interested in maintaining it anymore. The LICENSE for this mod is now also put to CC0, so feel free to continue working on it/forking it.
It currently logs the following:
- /tellraw
- /msg; /w; /tell
- /me
Any recommendations/suggestions can be made on our GitHub Issue Tracker!
PLEASE NOTE:
This mod logs "private" messages sent through commands, we, Tywrap Studios, are not responsible for misuse of this feature. It is suggested to make your players accept a certain Privacy Policy that states you as a server are allowed to log these commands. Alternatively, we have a very simple config system, you can always turn that logging off if you wish not to get in this type of trouble.
Q&A:
- "Can I port this mod to <loader>?"
- As per the discontinuation, yes.
- "Can I port this mod to <version>?"
- Ditto.
- "Do players of my server have to install this as well?"
- Nope! Pekilog is completely server-side and can be installed on only the server with no problems!
- "Are there any benefits to downloading this Client side?"
- No, this mod is mainly meant for (server) moderation and moderating your own singleplayer world just seems like an odd thing to do. We wont judge though ;)
- "How does the config work and where can I find it?"
- A config file is generated on your first launch after you installed the mod, it can be found at
./config/pekilog.json
and consists of mostly true/false rules and are labelled pretty self-explanatory.
- A config file is generated on your first launch after you installed the mod, it can be found at
- "When will you (back)port to 1.x.x?"
- Whenever we feel like it, we have lives of our own too and we can't work on this non-stop. Again, as per the discontinuation, you are free to do it yourself.
- "Can I use this in my modpacks?"
- Yes, as per the discontinuation, this mod is licensed under CC0 thus making it free to distribute.
