Talents

Talentium introduces 13 new talents to the game. Talentium tries to change the way Minecraft is played by buffing several under-played aspects of the game. This could either be through obscure mechanics or simply an under-used feature. Many of the talents will try to add viability to pre-existing game mechanics that have been considered a gimmick or simply unviable in any regards to combat or resourcefulness.

🌾 Agriculture

Mechanic: Increased crop drops with unique items. Gain more drops from breaking crops, with special items such as Ender Beetroot, Hasty Carrot and Magic Potato. Drops scale with level.

🪓 Axes

Mechanic: Armor-negation and attack damage bonus. Enhances axes with a chance to reduce armor on hit and increases damage as you level up.

🛡 Blocking

Mechanic: Counter-attack and armor bonus.
Receive counter-attack charges on hit and gain armor when a shield is in your offhand.

🧪 Brewing

Mechanic: Potion changes and Brewing Stand speed. Potions gain longer durations, becomes stackable, and faster brewing at higher levels.

🌍 Excavation

Mechanic: Shovel-based and Brush-based. Digging now yields treasures at higher levels and brushing may yield treasures in suspicious sand and gravel.

🎣 Fishing

Mechanic: Biome-based fishing, unqiue fish and increased amount of fishing. Unlocks higher chances for treasure and unique fish, especially in specific biomes.

🔥 Magic

Mechanic: Late-game spellcasting. Adds 10 powerful spells for combat, defense and utility. Use Spell Tomes to imbue spells with a spellbook. Spellbooks can be found in Stronghold libraries.

🏹 Marksmanship

Mechanic: Viability to Bows, Crossbows and Tridents.
Boosts damage for Bows, Crossbows, and Tridents. Bows gain pierce, Tridents gain AoE damage on land, and Crossbows gain a X% chance to bypass 25% of Armor.

⛏ Mining

Mechanic: Mining Speed and more ore drops. Increases mining speed and ore drops.

🔨 Smithing

Mechanic: All material becomes smith-able.
Grants random bonuses to armor, tools, and weapons crafted at the Smithing Table when using a Smithing Enhancer of with the same material as the item.

👤 Sneak

Mechanic: Stealth and first-hit advantage. Turns player invisible after sneaking for a short time, with bonus damage on first attack after exiting sneak as long as the opponent is unaware.

🗡 Swords

Mechanic: Bleed damage and attack damage bonus.
Swords gain abilities to remove Regeneration from opponents and inflict damage over time, with extra attack power at higher levels.

🐺 Taming

Mechanic: Wolves gain combat enhancements and Horses gain speed enhancements.
Wolves become stronger, faster, and can deal more damage. Horses become faster and more mobile. At higher levels, there’s also a chance for twin offspring.
